BASIC FUNCTION:  The District Teacher-Librarian on Special Assignment will support district and school library staff and develop OUSD library programs. In collaboration with the District Library Liaison and OUSD library staff, they will support library staff across the district with library programming and collection development, facilitate onboarding and ongoing professional learning, and collaborate around procedures for and management of school and district library programs. 
 
Note: This position is funded through grants and is a non-permanent position. Candidates selected for the position will not be guaranteed the role beyond the funding of the grant.

Who we’re looking for:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, a California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core curriculum.

  • Teacher Librarian Services Credential
  • CLAD/BCLAD

  • Two professional references
